Health & Safety Training
C.R. Gibbs are registered with the Construction Industry Training
Board (CITB), and have regular contact with the training advisor
allocated to the company.
All new employees are given an induction to ensure that the company
safety, health and welfare systems are understood.
The majority of employees hold a Construction Skills Certification
Scheme (C.S.C.S) card, which are updated at the expiry date. The
company has been awarded the certificate of commitment - Gold Standard
issued by C.S.C.S, for having at least 75% of the workforce registered
under the scheme. This involved attending a one-day safety awareness
course approved by the C.I.T.B.
Since 1997, the staff and workforce have been on a rolling programme

There are proposals to send staff on courses for Noise Regulations.
All the courses are CITB approved and certificates for the above
are all available for viewing at any time.
The company has a named Competent Health and Safety Advice and Assistance
as required by Regulation 7 of the Management of the Health and
Safety Regulations 1999.
